Alchemilla alpina

Alpine Lady's Mantle

The foliage is the real show with this variety. Densely packed, 5-7 lobed leaflets are held out in an open palm shape. A delicate silver edge lines each leaf. Bright clusters of chartreuse flowers bloom in early to mid-summer. Can be grown under black walnut trees.

Cut foliage back to produce a flush of new growth in autumn. Deer resistant. Prefers moist, humus rich soil but is tolerant of drought, coastal conditions, and clay.
