Large, fragrant, purple flowers have striking lime green throats and smiling white, ruffled edges. Midseason. Rebloomer. Tetraploid. Deciduous.
Attractive to butterflies, hummingbirds. Tolerant of coastal conditions, clay soil. Pull out old foliage as it yellows and remove spent bloom stalks to prevent seed production. Divide every 3 yrs.
