This superior selection is more compact than the species. The stalks are topped from early to midsummer by stunning, dark blood-red, tubular flowers with soft lemon yellow interiors. Great for attracting hummingbirds.
Prefers partial shade and consistently moist, but well-drained soil. Tolerates sun so long as soil does not dry out.
