Arising from pseudobulbs these are ground growing orchids, which produce racemes of small, cattleya-like, white blooms in mid to late spring. Their tall green, sword shaped leaves are longitudinally pleated. Deciduous.
Prefer partial sun to light shade and moist to damp soil. May naturalize over time. Appreciate winter mulch in colder areas.
