Rosy orange flowers are borne in profusion on airy spikes over licorice-scented foliage. A southwest native that always attracts hummingbirds. Deer resistant. Deadhead to prolong bloom period, but do not cut back old foliage until spring.
Prefers average to poor, well-drained soils with minimal nitrogen. Drought-tolerant.
