Fine, shiny, deep green grassy foliage sends up numerous spikes of rosy purple flowers in late summer. Native plants that are drought tolerant and attractive to butterflies and hummingbirds. Deer resistant. Long blooming and may rebloom if cut back.
Prefers full sun and average, dry to medium, well-drained soils. Prefers dry, sandy or rocky, alkaline soils. Tolerant of poor soils, drought, summer heat and humidity. Avoid wet soils in winter.
