Large, brilliant red bracts surround red flowers giving them a spider look. A long-time favorite, this one has fragrant, mildew resistant foliage. Still one of the best, it is much more attractive in the garden than in the container. Attractive to hummingbirds, butterflies, and bees. Deer resistant. Native. Striking!
Prefers sun to light shade and moist, well-drained soil. Drought tolerant but will also do well in boggy situations and clay soil.
