Compact, clump-forming plants have purplish blue, three-petaled blooms with contrasting yellow stamens that bloom in terminal clusters on stiff stems. Flowering may slow in high heat - cut back hard to promote fresh growth and flowering.
Prefers full sun to light shade and grows best in moist, rich soil. Tolerant of clay soil.
