Packera (Senecio) aurea

Golden Ragwort

Masses of yellow daisy-like blooms appear over dark green foliage in late spring. Plants spread slowly to form dense mats of heart-shaped leaves. Packera may be a bit weedy, but is great for natural areas. It is native to the eastern half of N. America.
