Deep lavender to violet-blue flowers are surrounded by showy, colorful bracts. Mildew resistant, fragrant foliage. Attractive to hummingbirds, butterflies, and bees. Deer resistant. Can be grown under black walnut trees. Native cultivar.
Prefers sun to light shade and moist, well-drained soil. Drought tolerant but will also do well in boggy situations and clay soil.
