4" wide, heavily ruffled indigo blue blooms have lighter blue standards and blue-veined white signals. Can tolerate clay soil. Deer resistant. Attractive to butterflies. Can be grown under black walnut trees.
Prefers sun to part shade and moist, organic-rich, acidic soil. Tolerates dry or very wet soil, but will do best with consistent moisture throughout the growing season.
