Light lavender blue flowers have orange crests and white throats that are surrounded by darker blue. Handsome fans of short pale green strap-like foliage. Fast grower and spreader that makes a nice edger for the shade garden. Deer resistant. Native to the eastern United States.
Prefers partial shade and moist, humus rich, well-drained soil, but can tolerate drier soils once established.
