Sword-shaped, silver-green leaves up to 3' long are edged with small spines. Small clusters of prickly, greenish-white globes surrounded by longer pointed bracts top the tall stiff stems. A wonderful architectural accent plant! Native. Self-sows.
Prefers full sun and well-drained average to dry soils. Tolerant of clay soil, coastal conditions and drought.
