Spikes of flowers in a mix of white, cream, pink, lavender, or rose each displaying interesting spotted markings. colors are similar to Excelsior, but plants are shorter. Excellent, old-fashioned shade garden plant. Biennial, but self sows. CAUTION: All parts of this plant are toxic & may be fatal if ingested.
Prefers partial shade to sun and evenly moist, well-drained, organic-rich soil. Tolerant of drier soils and drought once established.
Cut back after flowering to encourage reblooming. Drought tolerant and deer resistant. Attractive to butterflies and hummingbirds.
