Upward-facing, cup-shaped, magenta blooms flower for a long season on spreading plants that get about 18" tall. Plants will weave through flower beds, but do not root at nodes. Native to the central US.
Prefers full sun to part shade and medium to dryish soils. Its deep central tap-root makes it very drought tolerant, once established, but also harder to move.
