Belamcanda chinensis Freckle Face
Blackberry Lily
Arising from iris-like foliage the stems produce sprays of wide, bright orange blooms with yellow centers and red freckles. Blooms for weeks in late summer. Prefers full sun and average, well-drained soil. Ornamental seed heads resemble blackberries.
Rhizomatous plants that will readily self sow. Alternate botanical name is Iris domestica.
