This sturdy aster has smooth, gray-green stems and leaves and pretty violet blue flowers. It blooms in early autumn to post frost, attracting lots of butterflies and pollinators. It usually stays upright without early pruning. Good for cutting.
Normal moisture is best, but they can tolerate some drought. However, if plants are kept too dry, they may develop powdery mildew on their leaves. Native.
