Aster (Symphyotrichum) novi-belgii Patricia Ballard

New York Aster

Lavender-pink, semi-double flowers with bright yellow centers put on a show in late summer and fall. Compact plants spread via runners. Attract birds, butterflies, and other pollinators.

Prefer full sun to light shade and moist, well-drained soil. Drought tolerant, but best with consistent moisture. Provide good air circulations to reduce occurrence of mildew. Native cultivar.
