Flower is a hooded spathe whose color varies from green to purple. Produces two 3-lobed leaves and bears fleshy red berries in autumn. A member of the aroid family, foliage disappears in summer as it goes dormant. A real conversation plant! Native.
Prefers shade to partial shade. Requires constantly moist, well draining soil for best performance. Goes dormant if soil is too dry.
