A vigorous perennial that spreads into an attractive evergreen carpet of bronze-brushed green foliage. Spikes of rich violet-blue flowers top the plants in mid to late spring. Attractive to butterflies. Deer resistant.
Prefers partial to full shade and average, moist, humus-rich soil. Can be mowed after flowering.
