Five-finger Maidenhair or Northern Maidenhair has fronds that fork nearly in half with the two parts curving back, each with three to five finger-like divisions. Deciduous.
Prefers moist, rich, well-drained, neutral to alkaline soil in partial to full shade. Requires ample moisture to maintain its foliage in summer. It will form colonies where happy.
