Raspberry colored flower spikes on purple stems bloom from midsummer to fall. Blooms are very popular with butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds. Fragrant leaves. Native to Southwest US.
Prefers full sun to light shade. Requires well-drained soil. Tolerant of drought conditions. Grows best in poor soils with little nitrogen where they do not require staking.
