A prolific, late spring to summer bloomer sporting 5" violet flowers with a magenta stripe on each petal. Lovely in containers. Clematis enjoy a sunny location with well-drained alkaline soil where their roots are kept cool by shade or mulch. Can be grown under black walnut trees.
Plant with 1.5"-2" of stem below the soil line. Mulch or shade to keep roots cool. Group 3.
