Beautiful yellow flower spires bloom profusely in late May, followed by black seed pods that continue to provide interest. Mt. Cuba recommends 'Sunny Morning' as a compact cultivar with a tidy habit. Prefers sun and average to dry sites. Easily grown in low fertility soil, including clay. Attractive to butterflies. Deer resistant. Root system resents disturbance once established.
