Showy plant with clusters of delicate pink flowers that are carried above large, rich green leaves with red veining and red undersides. Late to break dormancy in spring. Long blooming plants. May be hardy beyond Zone 7 with protection.
Prefer light to full shade and moist, average to rich soil.

Colonies of plants are produced by self sowing and by the bulbils that are produced in the axils of the stems dropping to the ground to sprout the next year.
