Liatris aspera

Flower spikes in late summer sport 1" lavender tassel-like flowers. Coarser texture than Liatris spicata. Seeds are a real treat for goldfinches. Native plants, they are drought tolerant and attractive to butterflies and hummingbirds. Deer resistant.
