Large, double, purple and white blooms with ruffled edges are drop-dead gorgeous. White centers have yellow signals. Award winner. Early mid-season. Suitable for pond-side, bog or moist garden.
Best in full sun to light shade and moist to wet soils. Tolerant of excessive moisture including bogs. Prefers acidic soil. Can tolerate clay soil.
During the growing season, it thrives in standing water (up to 6” deep). However in winter, it is intolerant of both standing water and boggy soils where rhizomes may rot.
