4"-5" double, sometimes semi-double, mauve to silvery-blue flowers fade to a pale, silvery lavender, with creamy centers. Early summer blooms are double and single blooms late summer. This heirloom variety is often slow to establish, but worth the wait. Group 2.
Clematis enjoy a sunny location with moist, well-drained neutral to alkaline soil where their roots are kept cool by shade or mulch. Do not overwater! Can be grown under black walnut trees.
