Spikes of indigo-blue, pea-like blooms on a smaller version of B. australis. Leathery blue-green foliage. Attractive black seed pods in fall and winter. Attractive to butterflies. Deer resistant.
Prefers full sun and average to dry sites. Easily grown in low fertility soil, including clay.
