Dark purple, maple-like foliage sets off brilliant red blooms that can get 8"-9" wide. Flowers for 3 months or more starting in late June/early July. Leaves turn intense shades of orange in early fall while blooming continues. Heat tolerant. Awesome!
Prefers sun to part shade and moist to average, acidic soils. Tolerant of clay soil.
