Broad, bluish green, succulent leaves adorn this fast growing clump former. Clusters of dark purplish-red blooms appear in late summer, one of the earliest.
Prefers full sun and well-drained soil. Drought tolerant plants, they are particularly adapted for use in rock gardens or in borders. Also tolerant of coastal conditions. Long blooming. Deciduous. Attractive to butterflies.
