Deep scarlet, almost blood red flowers with wide, shiny petals that overlap and are slightly ruffled open from near black buds over a long period. The leathery foliage is dark green with purple overtones. Attracts butterflies and hummingbirds. Deer resistant. A Proven Winner variety. Plant patented.
Prefers sun to part shade and moist to average, acidic soils.
